New Oasis-Tower Bridge International Education is the premier provider of secondary international student services in the United States. The purpose of our summer camp program is to provide an enriching and fun cultural exchange program through which Chinese exchange students will utilize a specially designed curriculum to build relationships with local American students as they explore Northwest & International businesses, to emphasize the importance of education and cross-cultural learning. The carefully crafted curriculum features topical discussions of interest to the students in English supported by guest speakers, reading, hands-on activities, music, films, games, field trips, and role playing. Our goal for this camp is to prepare and inspire the students to better appreciate cultural differences in homes, schools and future business opportunities. The overall purpose is to inspire students to want to continue learning world languages, exploring cultural exchanges and continue their education in Washington State.

This is a seasonal 1099 Contract position paying $15-20 per hour based on experience.

  • 8 days of classroom learning; 2 days of field trips to Northwest businesses (arranged by TBI)
  • 2 additional days prior to each session for curriculum preparation/alignment, one facilitated by TBI staff
  • Classes to run from 8:00am to 3:00pm with 1 hour lunch


  • Instruction of Chinese exchange students and local area students during Summer Camp Program
  • Develop classroom activities and curriculum based on program objectives
    • Morning session on theme of, “Exploring Northwest and International Careers”
    • Afternoon session theme, “Cultural Learning” – Chinese culture led by TBI staff and US culture/crafts led by local instructor
  • Manage classroom facilitation and student participation during Summer Camp operations
  • Provide end-of-camp written performance evaluation on each student


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experienced required
    • Previous experience teaching, training or class facilitation strong preferred
    • Previous experience coaching, mentoring or counseling youth
  • Ability to present information in varying and engaging ways to a culturally diverse adolescent audience
  • Managing behavior, including enforcing discipline procedures as needed
  • Familiarity with Chinese language and culture preferred
